MJCET follows the admission norms notified by Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE). As per the existing norms, admissions are categorized into Category ‘A’ (Convenor Quota for 70% seats) & Category ‘B’ (Management Quota for 30% seats).

B.E. Admissions

Category ‘A’

The candidate who wants to seek admission under category ‘A’ has to qualify in the TS-EAMCET (Engineering, Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test) examination conducted by TSCHE.

To be eligible for appearing in the TS-EAMCET examination, the student should have passed the 10 + 2 with Chemistry, Maths and Physics as their main subjects. The candidate must attend the counseling for admission into the Engineering colleges conducted by the Convenor.

Based on the rank obtained in EAMCET, candidate can opt for MJCET as per the availability of the college and branch at the time of counseling.

Category ‘B’

Admissions for 30% category ‘B’ seats is done by the Sultan Ul Uloom education society as per the rules and regulations notified by TSCHE from time to time.

Lateral Entry Admissions in II year

For admission under Lateral Entry, students must qualify in TS-ECET and seek admission through the convener under Category ‘A’. The allotment of seat in the online counselling process is based upon the rank secured in the entrance test.

There is no ‘B’ category in lateral entry admissions.

Admission into M.E. / M.Tech. Programs under Category ‘A’ is done by the convener based upon the rank secured in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), which is conducted by Ministry of Education, New Delhi. When GATE Candidates are not available, admission is given to TS-PGECET qualified candidates on merit basis.

Category ‘B’

Admissions for 30% category ‘B’ seats is done by the Sultan Ul Uloom education society as per the rules and regulations notified by TSCHE from time to time.

Ph. D.

Admission to Ph. D is through entrance and interview conducted by the Osmania University. Students are allotted to the supervisors of MJCET research centres by the university.
